Dental implants in The Hague

An implant is a small titanium screw placed in the jawbone that acts as an artificial root. A crown, bridge or overdenture is attached to it. This replaces missing teeth without putting strain on neighbouring teeth.

What does implants involve?

After an examination and X-rays, we determine whether there is enough bone. The implant is placed under anaesthetic and fuses with the bone over a few months. Then the crown or denture is attached.

When do you need implants?

If you are missing one or more teeth, or if a denture doesn't stay in place properly.

  • With a single missing tooth, without grinding down neighbouring teeth.

  • With several missing teeth, as a base for a bridge.

  • To secure a loose denture firmly.

  • After losing a tooth in an accident.

  • When a tooth can no longer be saved and needs replacing.

Why choose an implant?

An implant also replaces the root of the tooth. That makes it stable and natural.

01

Stable

You can bite and chew normally again, without anything shifting.

02

Preserves bone

The implant stimulates the jawbone, so it shrinks less.

03

Care

An implant needs as much care as a natural tooth: good brushing and check-ups.

What does implants cost?

Dental fees in the Netherlands are set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). You receive an explanation of the costs before any treatment, and a quote for larger treatments. What your health insurer covers depends on your policy.
